PLEASE NOTE

  • The above calendar, along with any provisions as stated, is subject to change due to extenuating circumstances at any time with board approval.  Vacations scheduled from September 1 through June 30 may be impacted by a change in school calendar.

 

  ** Five(5) inclement weather days are built into the calendar.  If additional make-up days are required, up to two(2) days will be added to the end of the year(June 22,23).  Beyond two(2) make-up days, the days will be taken from Spring Vacation beginning with Friday, April 29, 2011, followed by Thursday April 18, 2011, etc. 

  • Tentative date for Newton High School graduation will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011.

 

  •   On Wednesday,  November 24 and Thursday, December 23, there will be a shortened session for students in accordance with the following schedule:

 

  Newton High School:   11:45 am

  Halsted Middle School: 11:54 AM

  Merriam Avenue School: 12:05 pm

 

  • Shortened sessions will occur for parent/teacher conferences on the following dates:

 

  Merriam: 11/1, 11/2,11/3 and 2/1

  Halsted: 11/1, 11/2, 11/3
